Democratic Slate stands with SODA

Note: Though Mr. Rudolph Bradley (Georgetown City Council candidate) is not listed in this release from SODA, he has communicated to us and to local media that he opposes offshore drilling.

See you at the Wooden Boat Show; Help Hurricane Victims

Come see us this Saturday, Oct. 21 on Front St. in Georgetown. The Wooden Boat Show will be in full swing and we'll be in the 700 block, registering voters of course, but also, we are collecting book bags and school supplies for the children of Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. If you can't get supplies in time, then we'll happily accept donations. We'll have "Kindness Rocks" for kids to paint and cards for them to sign. The cards will be sent with the supplies. Hope to see you then!

Let Stephen G. Know What You Think!

Short Notice Call to Action! Tell Sen. Goldfinch that our fishing and tourism-related businesses as well as the health of our river and ocean water are more important than his big oil agenda! Click on the red box above for contact info. ALSO: SODA event TODAY: SC Sen. Stephen Goldfinch will be testifying Wedneday before the US House Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources, and will essentially be giving away our coast to the oil and gas industry. Some members of Stop Offshore Drilling in the Atlantic and friends will be gathering at the Waccamaw library starting at 2 pm in the Debordieu Room to watch the hearing as it is live streamed. Join the "fun."
